We’ve actually seen clips of people dancing to 8-bit music—and let’s just say it was geeks gone wild! But if you’d like to see the madness firsthand, The Blip Festival is back for another four-day digital low-res overload. Presented by the Tank and 8bitpeoples, the festival brings together 40 international artists in the chipmusic movement to showcase their unique circuit-bending conversions of vintage video-game consoles and computer hardware into musical instruments and mind-bending visuals. In addition to the concert program, expect to see screenings, presentations, and workshops—but don’t expect to ever look at your Atari or GameBoy the same way again.
