As The Dining Room is one of A.R. Gurney’s best plays, perhaps he has some interest in the alimentary. But his latest play, at the Flea, concerns not so much the culinary as the political. Directed by Jim Simpson, it provides “a post-Bush cautionary tale about the price paid for legacy.”
Wednesdays-Saturdays, 7 p.m.; Saturdays, Sundays, 3 p.m.; Dec. 22-23, 7 p.m. Starts: Dec. 12. Continues through Jan. 25, 2008
