New York

Not your traditional ballet company of dainty girls in tutus, the campy Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo features ballerinas of a much bigger-boned, bawdier, er, hairier variety. Back at the Joyce Theater for the holidays, the all-male comedic dance troupe presents a special Christmas Eve program, including Giselle (Act 2), Go for Barocco, and Paquita. Expect to see legends Olga Supphozova, Svetlana Lofatkina, and Lariska Dumbchenko, among other favorites, delighting in performing choreographic jokes, hoisting one another in the air, and pulling off pirouettes—all with true grace and style.
