Remember when I was beside myself that my name turned up on a fashion show seating chart they showed on Gossip Girl? Big deal! A fellow journalist of mine–Charles Isherwood, who’s one of the Times‘s two top-drawer theater critics–just shot an actual part for that show!
Apparently the episode has a high school production of The Age of Innocence being staged by an off-Broadway-style director, and Isherwood appears as the director’s friend (namely himself). And that will surely be the last time the word “innocence” is used on that show!
