Plaxico Fill-In Also Shot, But By Others

by

In November Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress went to a nightclub and shot himself in the leg (accidentally — or so we were told), causing Mayor Bloomberg to demand a lengthy prison term for Burress and the Giants to suspend him. Burress was replaced in the waning days of the Giants season by Taye Biddle. Now it is reported that on Sunday Biddle was shot in the hand and leg while visiting family in Decatur, Georgia. He says he doesn’t know who shot him as he was going to his car, or why.

Biddle is out of the hospital and doing okay, but the Giants may have to start offering its WRs danger pay. A third Giants wideout, Steve Smith, was robbed at gunpoint outside his Clifton, New Jersey home in November.
