Cat Power (Chan Marshall) has grown into the kind of artist who’ll make you grab everything she puts out. Her recent release Dark End of the Street is an EP of other people’s songs that she recorded while making last year’s Jukebox. We know she doesn’t do note-by-note tributes to her musical muses, thankfully; Dark End includes “Fortunate Son” (Creedence Clearwater Revival), “Who Knows Where the Time Goes” (Sandy Denny/Fairport Convention), and “Ye Auld Triangle” (The Pogues).
