On New Kylesa Track “Said and Done”

Kylesa, the Georgia quintet who, since 2002, have been carrying forward the doomy, sludgy legacy of Eyehategod and Damad and all the other guttural, Southern hardcore bands, have posted a new track from their upcoming and frankly great new record, Static Tensions. The two drummers (and two gnarly vocalists) make all the difference: “Said and Done” is more wavy and spacious than past efforts, but past efforts were looming walls of drums and bass and growl, so let’s not get carried away. They may or not be playing a somewhat secret show at the above location tonight; they’re definitely at the Bowery tomorrow, opening up for original crust-patch muses Amebix.
