It’s no secret (or shame) that one of the bestselling books of 2005 was the life-altering He’s Just Not That Into You by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo, which was inspired by an episode of Sex and the City. The revolutionary and eye-opening titular phrase stems from the idea that, if you make excuses for a guy who doesn’t call, doesn’t ask you out, and hides you from his friends—and this list can seriously go on forever—it’s time to move on. The funny folks who make up the Bibliophiles Appreciation Consortium, an improv troupe disguised as a book club, have chosen this very book for a full-on reading, discussion, and performance of improvised scenes that will include many personal experiences. Yikes.
