Michael Psilakis and Donatella Arpaia say they’re less than two months
out from opening a new gastropub in the old Kefi space at 222 West 79th
Street. It will be called Gus & Gabriel’s and feature reasonably
priced classic comfort food.

The sweet freaks are raving about the new Bespoke Chocolates (6 Extra Place), just off the Bowery. See if their pretzel-covered sea-salted caramels are worth all the hype.

Chelsea has a new higher-end Mexican place in Las Chicas Locas (160 West 25th Street). Chef Daniel Van Heusden comes from Capital Grille and has Carne Asada Tacos, Sweet Potato Fries, and Churros served with Mexican Hot Chocolate on the menu. If the weather ever gets warmer, there’ll be outdoor seating for 80.

Chipotle will have a midtown lunch challenger with the first Baja Fresh opening in Manhattan on Lexington between 45th and 46th.
