Usually, trail mix is just an excuse to pick the chocolate chips out of a bag of nuts. But these trail mixes, from Sahale Snacks, are delicious. There are six different varieties, of which my favorites are Ksar–pistachios, dried figs, sunflower seeds and harissa–and Sing Buri–cashews, dried pineapple, sesame seeds and lemongrass. They’re pretty expensive (about $4 a bag), but worth it if you’d like a quick, relatively healthy snack that actually tastes good.
The mixes are available at Food Emporium, Gourmet Garage, Garden of Eden and Whole Foods.
