Called by The New York Times “one of the region’s harbingers of spring and summer,” the World Fishing and Outdoor Exposition is back. Fishing involves a lot more than just a pole and fresh worms nowadays, and this show covers state-of-the-art equipment, from kayaks with pedals to moving turkey decoys to lures so real you’ll think you saw them at a sushi bar. All major fishing tackle manufacturers will be on-site, and other sports, such as archery and hunting, will also be represented. Seminars include talks by world-famous fisherman Hank Parker (“The rod-and-reel answer to Michael Jordan,” according to Greg Gumbel) and mountain hunter Tim Andrus, who has been featured on ESPN and the Outdoor Channel.
