The Fly Girlz are six Brownsville teens, ages 12 to 14, using hip-hop to paint the world as they see it from girl talk to gunshots. Part of the new youth hip-hop records series “Representing NYC,” the Girlz deliver plain-spoken life lessons over a dubby, Rammellzee-styled stew courtesy of Zebrablood (a/k/a Nathan Corbin from Brooklyn noise crew Excepter). Playing support is veteran political MC Mr. Lif, who always knows a worthwhile cause when he sees it. With second “Representing NYC” project Nine 11 Thesaurus.
