Yeah Yeah Yeahs Do “Zero” Video

Pretty perfectly pitched Yeah Yeah Yeahs video for “Zero”: Warfield Theater marquee, bright in the rain; Karen O, getting her face on in the dressing room mirror, zipping up all sorts of latex and leather, then bursting through a red curtain and onto the street. Barney Clay gives the video the same out-and-alone charge the song has; brief shots of morning on the boardwalk might lend some ammo to the “paced like a night out” album theory we so disparaged here, except this doesn’t look much like anyone’s real night out. More like a rebel fantasy–a good way to think of the song, too. Apparently It’s Blitz is streaming in its entirety over at the band’s MySpace, so get down. [Stereogum]
