We wouldn’t go so far as to say that Greg Mottola, director of Superbad, makes geeks look cool, but he sure does make them look like they’re having a lot of fun. In honor of the upcoming release of his latest film, Adventureland, based on Mottola’s experiences working at an amusement park on Long Island, Museum of the Moving Image declares this Sunday to be Superday, with a day-long retrospective of Mottola’s films. Along with Superbad (at 4:30) and a preview of Adventureland (at 7:30), you’ll also see his rarely screened 1996 indie comedy The Daytrippers (at 2), starring Parker Posey and Liev Schreiber. Mottola will be on hand to chat about each film and, because it really is going to be a Superday, Schreiber will also make an appearance at The Daytrippers discussion.
