Dear god is it the weekend yet. If you can smell the infused liquor, you’re almost there. Here’s some boozy news of note this week:
The Cooper Square Hotel Bar (25 Cooper Square) is now open…albeit with a sad 11pm last call.
Gran Centenario has introduced a hibiscus-infused tequila called Rosangel. Julie Reiner of Clover Club and Flatiron Lounge has some mixing ideas for it.
The cocktail menu for the new Minetta Tavern (113 Macdougal Street) is online to check out, which is probably far easier than checking out the actual physical space this weekend. Your $14 libation options include classic cocktails like the Old Tom Collins made with Hayman’s Old Tom Gin and house cocktails like the Gin Blossom, made with Miller’s Gin, St. Germain, Aperol, and Fresh Grapefruit.
Angel’s Share (8 Stuyvesant Street) has new spring cocktails, including the delicious Quintessence made from Jasmine Infused Rum (clear), Elderflower Liqueur, Grapefruit Juice and Tonic.
