One decade and six albums into their career, the former trip of multi-racial, coed Philly/Gothamites is down to a duo as they search for a long-term drummer, which they’ve always had problems with. They’ve become less ‘experimental’ (like Sonic Youth, right?) but they’ve also become less genteel and definitely more focused, both of which they’re the better for: 07’s Grass Geysers…Carbon Clouds might be their best album yet. As for the open seat, how about a “Rock Star: Enon” show? It’s gotta work out better than INXS. With These Are Powers and the Forms.
