Andy Warhol’s double-screen epic is a superb talkathon featuring a half dozen or more definitive superstar appearances, including turns by Marie Mencken, Mary Woronov, Brigid Polk (Manny Farber’s “hippopotamus of sin”) and the self-proclaimed “Pope” Ondine. It’s astonishing commercial success marked the end of the 1960s New York underground.
