Under the Toque–Chefs and Food Sellers Band Together to Create Supply Chain


Bravo announced the chef’testants slated to compete in the upcoming Top Chef spinoff, Top Chef Masters, which include New Yorkers Wylie Dufresne, Anita Lo, Nils Noren, Christopher Lee and Jonathan Waxman.

Christian Delouvrier of La Goulue in Bal Harbour, Miami and previously of Alain Ducasse her in New York will now head up the kitchen at Secession in TriBeCa.

A group of chefs and food purveyors will participate in a summit organized by Animal Welfare Approved and Alfred State College to plan a supply chain from western New York State farms to the New York City market. Bill Telepan, David Schuttenberg and Nicholas D’Agostino III are among them.

Tom Colicchio hosted a benefit for Children of Bellevue at the hospital, to which he has a personal connection. The chef’s son, who will celebrate his 16th birthday later this month, was born prematurely and sent to the Bellevue for treatment.

Doug Psaltis tells BlackBook that, if he could do it all again, he would “definitely” still release his controversial book The Seasoning of a Chef, but that he might have done it differently (i.e. not “jump the gun” with the advanced reader copy).
