From Hip Slope Mama to Bed-Stuy Banana, Brooklyn bloggers come in many varieties. According to outside.in, Brooklyn (specifically, Clinton Hill) is the “bloggiest neighborhood in America.” But tonight, for once, if you visit your favorite Brooklyn-based blog, you’ll likely hear crickets chirping—that is, unless those bloggers are live-blogging from the Brooklyn Blogfest 2009 at the powerHouse Arena. Among the evening’s events is a panel of well-known Brooklyn bloggers like Jake Dobkin (Gothamist) and Anne Pope (Sustainable Flatbush), group sessions led by bloggers in a variety of categories, and an after-party. The festival is open to those who write blogs, read blogs, or still wonder what a blog is.
