Monotonix, the Tel Avivian blunderbuss, live forever torch to fuse. Garage rock razor wire, boogie with a bad attitude, and chest hair sweat with which to sting your eye—these dudes do it all, and almost never contain it to a stage. There’s some of the schlock-tastic in an outfit known more for bashing in bass heads than recorded output. But when Monotonix aren’t loading their cannon with what’s left over from laying waste to a club, they manage to rock loudly and without care, and that’s more infectious than the facial cuts you’ll wake up with the day after this show. With the Homosexuals and Rice.
