The Governor Bans Bottled Water; Guactacular Winners Announced

Governor Paterson has signed an executive order to phase out the purchase and use of all bottled water at government offices, including individual-sized and even cooler-sized water bottles, which are to be replaced with water fountains.

Shocker! Meat from pigs infected with swine flu should not be eaten by humans, says the WHO, adding that pigs and their meat should continue to be checked for all diseases, including the virus.

Sales of organic food and non-food products was up 17 percent at the end of last year compared to 2007. Organic food sales now account for about 3.5 percent of all food product sales in the country.
