What do you get when you cross a Trekkie and a foodie? Probably something along the lines of Adam Kuban and his Serious Eats post on foods featured in Star Trek. If, like us, you spent this past weekend queuing up to see the “first Star Trek for everyone,” you might be interested in reading up on what Vulcans, Romulans and Klingons (absent from the movie) like to eat. Highlights include the jumbo Romulan mollusk; Osol twist, a tart Romulan candy; and a Bloodwine Martini, a bit of cultural fusion of vermouth, gin and a dash of bloodwine.
