If the Beatles had recorded Sgt. Pepper’s in Jamaica during the late ’70s or early ’80s, it might well have sounded like Easy Star’s Lonely Hearts Dub Band. The local reggae collective’s latest reconfiguration of a classic album is a lighter and brighter followup to their equally skanktastic Pink Floyd and Radiohead efforts. Having played 180 shows last year, the Giant Pandas have accrued some serious roots-reggae expertise of their own.
