    A fusion-ey trio called the Brown Rice Family entertained the attendees on the first floor of Brooklyn Uncorked

This last Wednesday, May 13, saw the 3rd annual Brooklyn Uncorked festival unfold in the BAM Cafe space on Lafayette Street in Ft. Greene from 4 pm till 8 pm. Dozens of Long Island wineries, Brooklyn restaurants, and local food producers and caterers participated. The event was sponsored by the quarterly magazine Edible Brooklyn.

The festival occupied two floors, and above is a view of the second floor, which was thronged with exhibitors and attendees.

The Farm on Adderley offered some killer apps, including smoked fish and pickled onion on chips





Bouke is one of my favorite North Fork vineyards represented at the festival. It’s located in Mattituck, Long Island, and produces a particularly fine white blend with chardonnay, pinot grigio, sauvignon blanc, and gewurztraminer.




Caterer Great Performances regaled the masses with citrus-glazed asparagus tips,





While Eat Wine scooped refreshing sorbets based on wine and spirits,




Finally, chocolatier Vere turned out boxcar-shaped brownies coated in dark chocolate.
