Oh cute: Google has announced its Doodle for Google art contest winner. It’s Christin Engelberth of Bernard A. Harris Jr High School in San Antonio, Texas, and here’s her prize piece, selected by a panel of judges from Google, the Smithsonian, Cooper-Hewitt, and the National Design Museum. She’s in sixth grade. 39 of the finalists are on display at Cooper Hewitt at 2 East 91st Street now through July 5.
The young finalists stuck to positive, one-world and environmental themes, which are not our thing. But we confess being impressed by this one, created by 8-year-old Sameek Das of High Peaks Elementary School in Boulder, CO:
