2nd Swine Flu Death in Queens

New York’s second swine flu death has been reported in Queens. All that has been revealed about the victim by the city’s department of health is that she’s woman is in her 50s and, like New York’s first swine flu casualty, Mitchell Wiener, is said to have suffered from an “underlying health condition” that left her more vulnerable to the virus.

New York reported 33 new cases of swine flu on Saturday, bringing its total for the outbreak to 366.

Cases of visitors from foreign countries returning home from New York with swine flu have been recorded in Brisbane, Australia and Oxford, England.
