McDonald’s is annoying the Humane Society of the United States by joining a study of housing alternatives for egg-laying hens, including cage-free housing. The HSUS calls the move a “stall tactic,” as other restaurant chains, including Burger King, Denny’s and Hardee’s have already agreed to start purchasing cage-free eggs.
