Students to Get Tony Awards Tix in “First-Ever” Lottery

Want to go to the Tonys? If you’re not a nominee or a Broadway insider, but are going to school, you might still get in thanks to what the Tony people are calling the “First-Ever Student Rush Tickets” for the Broadway awards ceremony on June 7th. Bring your student I.D. to the Broadway Concierge and Ticket Center at 1560 Broadway between 46th and 47th Streets this Thursday morning (get their early — you know how these things go). Names will be accepted and entered at 11 a.m., and drawn by Rock of Ages‘ Constantine Maroulis and James Carpinello at 3 p.m. until the quota is fulfilled.

Neal Patrick Harris is hosting Sunday’s show and, if it adds at all to your excitement level, “the Living Character Initiative version of WALL-E” will also attend as part of tribute to Hello, Dolly! composer Jerry Herman.
