Signal Ensemble

Formed in 2007 to perform the music of Steve Reich, the Signal Ensemble, conducted by co-founder Brad Lubman, will play Reich’s Pulitzer Prize-winning (and still unreleased) 2006 work, Double Sextet, with the composer in attendance. Online snippets suggest the piece pulsates like a boogie-woogie gamelan, and listeners will be able to compare and contrast it with its 1984 predecessor, Sextet, at this Wordless Music event.
