Leah Cohen, who has been named executive chef at Centro Vinoteca, said her food would differ from her predecessor Anne Burrell’s in that it would be less rustic, more modern, “incorporating a little bit of Asian notes and flavors into the dishes.”
Sigh. A 14-year-old “chef” from East Hampton, who started his own catering company at age 11, has scored a reality-TV deal. Greg Grossman’s show will be produced by Picture This Television, the company that has brought us such gems as Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List.
After rumors circulated that the founder and head pizza chef at Sam’s Restaurant, Mario Magliaccio, had retired and moved back to Italy, his angry son Louis set the record straight. “We’re not closing,” he said. “I’m getting sick and tired of this. If I keep hearing these rumors people are going to pay the ultimate price.” Shudder.
