MGMT has gone from the little Brooklyn band that could into the international ambassadors of hipster culture—y’know, the most-agreed upon definition of “hipster,” the Wayfarers and neon shirts and Casio shimmy dance and whatnot. Basically, these guys are the reason that kids in Iowa are gonna be dressing like your friends did in 2006. But don’t be snarky about it ’cause they’re awesomely raising a shit-ton of money tonight for Celebrate Brooklyn. With fellow happy-scrappy Athens dance team Kuroma and Brooklyn’s soaring Suckers.
