Long one of minimal house label Playhouse’s most esteemed acts, Losoul occupies a unique niche in the genre, thanks to his nuanced understanding of hip-hop and jazz. His latest album, Care, shows off his tight and compelling blend of precision and emotion. There’s no doubt that his music works beautifully in a late-night club, but we suspect that it will suit a summer afternoon on the Gowanus Canal at least as well. With Eamon Harkin, Justin Carter and Doug Singer.
