With his band American Music Club, frontman Mark Eitzel writes whispering, introspective, morose numbers. Tonight, he’ll likely intone them even more quietly and make them sound even deeper and sadder than usual as he performs them solo. That doesn’t mean just sturm und drang, though. There’s something carefree and accepting about Eitzel’s singing, even when the words are “No one here is gonna save you,” as on last year’s “The Decibels and the Little Pills,” which has added some level of comfort to even his bleakest AMC songs. Without the rest of his band, it’ll be even harder to hide that. With Ian McGlynn.
