Indian singer Kailash Kher’s career took off after his songs appeared in the Bollywood blockbuster Mangal Pandey: The Rising. Now he leads an eclectic seven-piece group, Kailasa, that blends Western rock bombast with South Asian rhythms and Kher’s qawwali-inspired vocals. The quartet Electro Morocco syncs flashy visuals with electroclash synths, throbbing surf guitars, and a seductive vocalist. Part of the Celebrate Brooklyn festival.
