Over the past five years, alt-folkie M. Ward has peppered his albums with guest spots from Bright Eyes, Cat Power, Jenny Lewis, and even Norah Jones. This sort of ubiquity peaked with last year’s ’60s-inspired She & Him, a collabo with indie-film It Girl Zooey Deschanel. Through all of this, though, his solo works have remained mild and breezy, never venturing too far from Ward’s comfort zone. They’re nonetheless perfect for forgetting your problems on a summer day. Support duo Mike Watt & Nels Cline pits the sometime Minuteman against Wilco’s lead guitarist, which will provide some spontaneity to the evening. With Yuka Honda and Dougie Browne.
