Having just secured the crucial support of New Jersey state senate president Richard Codey, Mayor Bloomberg may now add Colin Powell to his list of endorsers who don’t live in New York. “I am a Virginian now,” said the former U.S. secretary of state, “but if I lived in New York, I would vote for Mike Bloomberg… And yes, I would say, reelect Mike Bloomberg.” Bloomberg may want to consider whether this is the sort of thing that caused his recent slide in the polls.
