Sean Deason got his start in Detroit techno by designing record sleeves for the city’s masters, but he soon made a name for himself as a producer/DJ and founded Matrix Records. To mark the reintroduction of Matrix after a brief hiatus (with the release of his own Dot & Etta’s Shrimp Hut), Deason plays tonight with a few of his soulful signings, Pittsburgh’s Shaw Rudiman and Toronto’s Arthur Oskan. With Vacuum, Lola, and DJ Spider.
