This graceful supernatural screwball comedy spawned two sequels, but although the material is now familiar, it seemed totally original on first appearance. An ebullient cast is headed by Cary Grant and Constance Bennett as a happy-go-lucky married couple, who, killed in a car crash, emerge as ghosts awaiting acceptance into the next world and have to perform a good deed.
