Bruni Replacement By End of Week; Betting On In-House





The Observer reports that Times‘ executive editor Bill Keller will announce Bruni’s replacement by the end of the week (he hopes). A source says that the candidates were narrowed down to a short list — three from inside the Times, one from outside — and that the editors will likely go with a replacement who is in-house. Which makes the proceedings kind of boring, no? There are only so many people it could be: Pete Wells, Julia Moskin, Christine Muhlke….
