Midtown Gets a Piada

by

Not only is midtown about to be graced with its first Momo entity, the neighborhood is also getting its first and the city’s second Piada. The first is located on Clinton Street, specializing in piada, a type of Italian flatbread sandwich from the Emilia-Romagna region. The new location is set to open in mid-September, just in time for the fourth anniversary of the original location.

“It’s our second store so it’s a big step for us,” says Giovanni Attilio, one of the owners. “Clinton Street is small and friendly. There, it’s different. It will be a challenge.”

The concept in the new location will be the same as the original, but with a more simplified menu of 8-10 traditional piadas and a make-your-own option, which Attilio hopes will appeal to the midtown crowd.
