Tonight, ‘Nightline’ Hops on the Butchers-as-Rock-Stars Bandwagon


Nightline is airing a piece tonight titled (on its website) “Butchers: New Rock Stars of the Culinary World.” With any luck, this will mark the swan song of this particular trend piece, which has already been covered in New York, the Times, and just about every other publication but Creative Knitting. The Nightline story rounds up some familiar faces, including Pat LaFrieda, Ryan Skeen, Frank Ottomanelli, and Josh Ozersky; though its relative merits may be open to debate, it’s tempting to say that it seems a bit like carving a dead horse.
