Sarah Zorn, Fork in the Road’s intrepid freelance researcher, along with her husband, Fred, has launched a unique food podcast called The Main Ingredient. Each episode goes in-depth on a particular food stuff, following it through history and mythology, to the farm, and the kitchen. It’s quirky and food-geeky, with great music and sound effects.
Their first episode, focusing on eggs, is up now, and contains history and ancient mythology you may never have heard before. Plus, the interview with Howard Helmer, from the American Egg Board (who holds a Guinness World record for fastest omelet-making), is fairly adorable.
