Judy Garland‘s 1960’s TV variety show often seemed to consist solely of outtakes. Judy appeared to be on the verge of semi collapse at times, though that usually made her rally and belt out a song brighter than ever, her trouper’s invulnerability conquering all the physical and emotional realities that left her a walking open wound.
But it turns out there were actual outtakes from the show—giant boo-boos that didn’t make it onto the telecast. And here they are, gays and friends of gays! This montage of clips–called “Judy Garland and the Journey To a Legacy”–shows dear Judes fucking up a whole lot, but being so disarmingly charming about her mishaps that you loved her more than ever!
