How Would a New York Times Restaurant Critic Review the New York Times’ Cafeteria?


That’s the question Food in Mouth poses today in its own review of the establishment. For its part, the blog praises the “absolutely beautiful” eating area, the “fresh and delicious” made-to-order sushi, and dessert, a peanut butter-chocolate “pie thingy.” Less successful were the “standard” mac and cheese and the fried chicken, which paled in comparison to Popeye’s. Food in Mouth gave the cafeteria two stars, leaving us to wonder, What Would Sam Sifton Do?
