When she chants, she likes to keep it simple—and to paraphrase Mies van der Rohe, simple is more. Since she’s paying tribute to Irving Berlin and naming the show after his “Play a Simple Melody,” the result should be an ideal match for the singer. The incomparable and ubiquitous Tedd Firth is at the piano, so count on his approach to simplicity as ear candy.
