Pizzas to Kill a Horse

Every so often, Men’s Health blesses us with a round-up of the “Best and Worst” foods in America, enlightening and often grossing out its audience with the revelation a single serving of most chain restaurant food has enough calories, sodium, fat, and sugar to hospitalize an entire zip code. The current list is dedicated to pizza, and not the painstakingly crafted, approved-by-monks-in-Italy kind: We’re talking Red Lobster’s “starter”-sized seafood pizza (720 calories), Pizza Hut’s Meaty P’Zone calzone (1,480 calories), and several other stuffed-crust offenders. Reading the list is a little like looking at bad celebrity plastic surgery photos: trashy and repugnant, yes, but not without a measure of ghoulish intrigue.
