There is approximately one block separating the Broadhurst Theatre and American Airlines Theatre. “And?” you may ask. Well, the Broadhurst is where the handsome British thespian Jude Law will be starring in Hamlet, and the latter theater is where his ex-fiancée, Sienna Miller, who once wore his $35,000 diamond ring on her finger till that whole nanny thing, will be starring in the Roundabout production of Patrick Marber’s After Miss Julie. But wait, it gets better! Law’s best friend, actor Jonny Lee Miller, plays opposite Miller (no relation) in Marber’s sexually charged story that transposes August Strindberg’s 1888 Miss Julie to tight living quarters in the English countryside on the eve of the British Labour Party’s historic landslide in 1945. Yup, we can pretty much feel the heat and tabloid mania already. ‘Hamlet,’ Broadhurst Theatre, 235 West 44th Street, in previews, opens October 6, through December 6, 212-239-6200, $25–$116; ‘After Miss Julie,’ American Airlines Theatre, 227 West 42nd Street, in previews, opens October 22, through December 6, 212-719-1300, $66–$111
