Hot Doug’s Cometh


Le Fooding is importing French chefs, the Spotted Pig is importing Fergus Henderson, and now, Serious Eats is importing Doug Sohn, the man behind the Chicago hot dog mecca Hot Doug’s. For one night only, on October 7, Sohn will be serving his dogs and duck-fat fries at the Astor Center. Tickets for this one will no doubt go fast (if they’re not gone already), but if you can’t snag one, chin up: For the cost of two of the $65 tickets, you could almost buy a plane ticket to Chicago and get the full experience, two-hour line and all.
