Mercat has opened Brooklyn outpost, Mercat Negre, focusing on food from Catalan (where chef-partner, Oriol Sala Colomer, is from). Expect empanadas, croquettes, and rice dishes.
Bierkraft, the beer and fancy food emporium by Richard Scholz located in Park Slope, is now open. In addition to bottles, 64-ounce growlers are available.
