Join Alessia Antinori, of her family’s eponymous Tuscan winery, for a glimpse into life as a woman in the male-dominated world of Italian wine. The evening will feature five courses — including grilled octopus with polenta al nero and fire roasted peppers, Bruciato braised pork shank salad, and pici toscani with wild boar and porcini ragu and baked ricotta — paired with wines from the Guado al Tasso estate.

Join author Trine Hahnemann for a discussion of her book, The Scandinavian Cookbook. More than just a collection of recipes, the book highlights innovations in Nordic cooking and food culture, and features colorful images by photographer Lars Ranek. The evening will start with a cooking demonstration by Hahnemann and Smorgas Chef’s Ari Nieminen.

EN Japanese Brasserie will host a sake and shochu tasting led by the restaurant’s sake sommelier, Takahiro Okada. More than 30 sakes and sochus, including offerings from Hakkai san, Biho, and Dassai (for sake), as well as Ikkomon, Beniikko, and Shiro (for sochu), will be paired with fresh tofu, ebi shinjo (deep-fried shrimp fritters), shira ae (asparagus with a tofu-and-sesame dressing), and yasai chips (Japanese root vegetable chips).
